| | Just to let anyone who might care know that I'm still alive, unfortunately.
Haven't been doing much this week. Essays were all done by Monday, didn't feel like studying since I've only 2 papers. Totally had a slumber party at Daphne's, like, totally, and we so totally watched To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything. It's JUST LIKE A CHICK FLICK, BUT WITH MEN. Hahahahaha. Awesome show, following on Tarantino's Natural Born Killers, and caramel popcorn to go with it. I made the caramel! As I get older, I realise that my sense of achievement is easily tickled by even the most mediocre things I do. Oh well. You know how it is as you get older you realise you haven't really done much with your life so might as well start appreciating what you can do, however nonsensical it is.
Caught the sunset for two days in a row at our not-so-secret spot! Totally picnic worthy I swear. I'm bringing my picnic basket next week. Nothing quite beats the combination of gorgeous scenery, copious amounts of cigarettes and best friend. Unless you add "picnic" of course.

I bought a watermelon the size of 2 of my heads. Weighing in at 7 kilos. The fruit seller at my place always makes it a point to holler at me from across the street to buy something, anything. And he knows I stay in the block next to his stall, so no escape. I must admit the fruits are always awesome. Durian, jackfruit, mangoes, mangosteens, mini mandarin oranges. So I tried weasling out by telling him that I didn't have any money on me. "It's ok! Take first and pay me back next time!", he tells me in Teochew.
Now I'm just waiting for the weekend to pass before going back to the grind of studying. I've 12 novels to read for one class, and I've only read half of one book. Mahahahhaa. |
